Organic and conventional farming of food crops is our core business.
KTG Agrar SE cultivates over 46.000 hectares of farmland for organic and conventional farming of food crops.
We have been farmers for 20 years. Today, we cultivate over 46.000 hectares of farmland.
The growing world population, ongoing globalisation, climate change and changing eating habits are the key megatrends for the agricultural market. These trends continue to drive demand for food and renewable energy in both quantitative and qualitative terms. Dedicated employees, over 46.000 hectares of farmland are a sound basis for the KTG Group.
We specialise in the large-scale cultivation of organic and conventional food crops such as grain, potatoes, rapeseed and soy. Thanks to the ongoing development and refinement of our technologies, cultivation methods and storage facilities, we have guaranteed our customers homogeneous quantities of consistently high quality for 20 years. Today, KTG produces grain for 1,5 Millionen million people each year.
In 2006, we established a third business segment, the production of electricity, biogas and heat from renewable resources. Today, we generate clean energy for about 500.000 people – which is more or less equivalent to the population of the city of Frankfurt on the Main. We also make our expertise available to third parties in the form of farm and energy management services. Our Group’s integrated structure promotes interaction between all business segments, allowing us to exploit synergies, increase our efficiency and save resources.
The KTG Group employs around 800 people. Our well-established teams master the organisational challenge of managing an area that is larger than 50.000 football pitches. These people form the basis for our vision to become the champion of innovative farming. We therefore invest continuously in their training and further education and give them a share in our joint success.
